Hmm..maybe his excuse is like snake's, snake is considered heavy becuase of all the shit he carries. Why shouldnt it be teh same for link(carries bobms,boomerang,clawshot,bow and arrows, sword....fairy..)?

good points das, but i think the real reason is because he is actually really fat. You cant tell because he is wearing some kind of tights underneath his clothes that keep all the fat from falling out. I think he has so much fat that if he were to grab the edge of fd without his tights the game would automatically count it as an SD because more than half of his body would be in the dead zone both below and to the side of the map. I know that seems kinda extreme, but think about it. I dont know too much about the legend of zelda games, but i have heard link saves alot of women in those games, and conisistently zelda. SO he obviously has a lot of women friends Seeing as how he no longer needs to look good to get a gf, he just let it all go and now he is fat. THats why he is heavier in brawl than in melee. If your proposition were true das, then his weight should be the same. So obviously im right

Lol, just all the crap link carries. He has like, a 50 pound sword and unlimited of key zelda items. I see what you mean though because in melee when you would do his recovery move he would literally FLY. Now in brawl he falls just as fast as metal link in ssbm.
